Accompaniment and Assistance
The Airports Authority is responsible for building the infrastructure needed for the activity of service providers for passengers with disabilities.
According to the Equal Rights for People with Disabilities Law in the State of Israel, responsibility for treatment of assisted passengers and their luggage starting from their entrance to the terminal building, or the moment they get of the plane, is borne by the airline carrying the passengers. Accordingly, service at the Rosh Pina Airfield is provided in practice by the company operating the flight or the handling companies.
The service includes accompanying and helping assisted passengers during the “passenger process”.
In addition, the Rosh Pina Airfield has been adapted and made accessible to assisted passengers. Arrival at the terminal is accessible using sloped and passable infrastructure, entrances to halls are accessible and suitable to wheelchairs. The airport has accessible parking reserved for assisted passengers, at the front of the passenger terminal.
Within the framework of the service you may contact and received assistance from the airfield contact, Ms. Liat Ohana, at 04-6136200 or email LiatOh@iaa.gov.il
