Accompaniment and Assistance

The Israel Airports Authority is responsible for providing the physical infrastructure for the activities of service providers assisting passengers requiring assistance, as required by law. The service includes assistance and accompaniment for passengers requiring assistance during the “passenger process”.

The terminal is accessible and adapted for passengers requiring assistance, including accessible restrooms, waiting areas, and benches. Passageways throughout the terminal have been expanded to allow for smooth and convenient movement. The parking lot has spaces marked and designated for individuals with disabilities, located close to the terminal building. Wheelchairs are available for passengers requiring assistance free of charge.

To receive the service, please contact security personnel or the on-duty manager currently on shift. You can also contact the terminal staff by phone at: 08-6300555.

  • In accordance with legal requirements, some of the service counters are equipped with induction loop assistive systems for individuals with hearing impairments.

The systems installed at the terminal are designed for use by individuals with hearing aids and can also be used by those without hearing aids or without a telecoil component in their hearing aids.

The terminal management has installed these systems at various counters involved in the entry and exit processes:

    • Financial operator counters (dedicated counter No. 1)
    • Border control counters (dedicated counter No. 1)
    • Customs counters (dedicated counter No. 1)
    • Duty-free shops

Every station equipped with an induction loop is marked with standard signage.

  • Accessibility for visually impaired and blind individuals is provided through a voice-based navigation and orientation system via the “Right Hear” mobile app.

The system supports Hebrew, Arabic, and English and can also be used by passengers without disabilities who wish to navigate processes more easily.
