Useful Information

  • Passengers flying from Terminal 3 with hand luggage only, who have checked in online (web check-in) and hold a boarding pass (either in printout form or on their mobile phone) may go through the designated security checkpoint sector - Area W.

    All other required travel documents for passengers going through this sector will be checked at the boarding gate by the airline.

    Please note: the capacity of the storage compartments in the passenger cabin is limited. When the storage compartments are full, you will be required to check in your hand luggage at the boarding gate, to be delivered to the plane's cargo hold.

    For your convenience, we recommend that you make sure that the luggage checked in for delivery to the cargo hold does not contain valuables, travel documents, medications, a passport or electronic devices.

    The next generation of overseas travel insurance:

  • Tourists who are not Israeli citizens shall submit a request for a VAT refund upon their departure from Israel only, for purchases made in Israel according to the applicable regulations and directives.
    Tax refund for tourists may be claimed for current purchases only. Tax refund cannot be claimed retroactively for products purchased on previous trips, as was customary in the past.

    Milgam operates VAT refund counters at Ben Gurion Airport as follows:
    Goods in checked baggage:
    Prior to check in and baggage check, applicant passengers shall present the formal documents and the purchased goods at the VAT counter located on the 3rd floor at the check-in hall across from the information counter.
    In order to receive the refund, the stamped document should be presented again at the VAT Refund service desk, located in the Duty Free Hall, entrance of Concourse E.

  • Synagogue

    There are two synagogues operating in terminal 3:
    At the Greeters hall, eastern gallery on the first floor.
    At the Duty Free hall (turn right and right at the entrance),

    The synagogue operating hours: 24/7.

    Prayer Room

    Muslim and Christian Prayer Room is located at the Departures hall (Duty Free area), concourse E

  • For your convenience, there are three locker stands for luggage storage and charging of mobile devices.
    The stands are located on the G floor, in the 'Vineyard' and the 'Orchard' parking lots, and in the Departures hall (duty free area) in concourse B.

  • A paid porter service is available for both arriving and departing passengers, the service operates 24/7 as detailed below:
    For departing passengers:
    Baggage can be taken from your car to the security screening zone. To order a porter go to the information counter on the 3rd floor opposite Gate 32 or call 052-6442714
    Payment is cash only

    For incoming passengers:
    Baggage will be collected from the conveyor belt and taken outside of the terminal.
    To order go to the service counter in the Arrival Hall or call 052-6442714

  • In accordance with the regulations of the "Senior Citizens" law, senior citizens aged 80 and older may receive service without waiting in line. Travelers aged 80 and up who present a certificate will receive priority in lines at all points of service throughout the flight process (whether arriving or departing).

    • Security checkpoints – senior citizens over the age of 80 will be directed to the service counter and receive priority in the security check line as well as in the flight check-in line.
    • Security check for hand luggage/carry-on luggage – senior citizens over the age of 80 will be directed to the line for travelers receiving assistance.
    • Passport control – signs will direct senior citizens over the age of 80 to a shorter line.

    There is a designated baby care area with nursing facilities operating 24/ 7

  • An infirmary, rendering first aid services only, operates  at Ben Gurion Airport, 24 hours a day.

    The clinic is located next to the entrance through Gate 21, in the West Gallery of the Greeters Hall.
    Another clinic is located in the Departure Hall – Duty Free Area, next to the Mother and Child Room, with directing signage.

    In case of emergency in order to receive medical assistance, please call 03-9752526/7 or approach the Information Desk for assistance in contacting the clinic.

  • It is forbidden to carry sharp objects and weapons in your hand luggage.

    It is forbidden to send or gas containers, lithium-ion batteries and lithium-metal batteries in the luggage to the belly of the plane or in the hand luggage.

  • Ben Gurion Airport has an animal service area intended for assisted passengers’ guide dogs or emotional support dogs.

    The service room was specifically designed to host passengers and service animals.
    The room is equipped with a sink, a wash hose, a feces collection device, synthetic turf and seating chairs.
    Passengers requiring assistance to get to the area will contact the information counter in the duty free area.
