Support and Assistance
The Israel Airports Authority is legally responsible for establishing the infrastructure required for supporting the activity of service providers to passengers with disabilities.
Under Israel’s Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, the responsibility for attending to assisted passengers and their luggage, from the moment they enter the terminal building or disembark from the aircraft, lies with the airline they are flying with. Therefore, services at Ramon Airport are actually provided by ground handling companies.
These services include accompanying and assisting assisted passengers throughout the passenger process.
For domestic flights, these services are provided by Arkia and Israir airlines.

Ramon Airport has Alpha counters, manual ticketing, a biometric border control station, and a telephone, all adapted for passengers requiring assistance.

A Right Hear system is installed throughout the terminal for the use of passengers requiring assistance.

In accordance with the law, some service counters are equipped with induction loop systems for people with hearing impairments. These systems are installed at various locations in the terminal halls, such as:
-Airline check-in counter
-“Alpha” card registration counter
-Departure gate counters
-Border control counters -
After requesting assistance from ground handling services / airline representatives, passengers will be accompanied along the outbound passenger route, including through security screening and flight check-in.

The hand baggage screening area at Ramon Airport has a dedicated entrance for passengers requiring assistance. Individuals with pacemakers must present an official pacemaker certificate from the hospital stating the pacemaker recipient’s name, the device’s date of implantation, and the name of the medical institution. Alternatively, they can present a document from a treating physician stating the aforementioned details.
Individuals with internal implants who cannot go through the magnetometer for medical reasons must have an official supporting document from the hospital stating the implant recipient’s name, the date of implantation, and the name of the medical institution. Alternatively, they can present a document from a treating physician stating the aforementioned details.
Passengers requiring assistance who use wheelchairs will be given priority at security screening.

Passengers requiring assistance will be accompanied by airline representatives through the departures hall and up to the boarding gate. Passageways in the duty-free area are expanded and adapted for passengers requiring assistance.

Passengers requiring assistance will be accompanied by airline representatives and transported to or from the aircraft using an ambulift.

Parking: There are parking spaces for disability parking badge holders in the car park located opposite the terminal.
Accessible Taxi: To reserve an accessible taxi, please contact the taxi dispatcher at the front of the terminal, near Gate 34.
Accessible Bus: An accessible bus can be reserved in advance at the "Egged" company counter located outside the arrivals hall, or by calling 03-9143737.
