Options for crossing at the terminal:
A transportation service from the Israeli terminal to the Jordanian terminal (shuttle), a private vehicle, an organized transport (tour bus) and a two-wheeled vehicle (motorcycle).
Crossing the border with a rented vehicle or a taxi is not permitted.

Documents required for crossing:
- A passport, valid for at least 6 months.
- A paid crossing toll.
- An entry visa into Jordan – issued at the Jordanian terminal.

 Documents required for crossing with a private vehicle:
- A passport, valid for at least 6 months.
- A paid crossing toll.
- An entry visa into Jordan – issued at the Jordanian terminal.
- An international driver’s license –Cannot be issued at the border crossing; can be issued at the service points as listed on the Ministry of Transport's website, click here.
- A vehicle license registered to the driver’s name, translated to English – can be issued at the branch of the financial service operator (Milgam) that operates at the terminal. This service incurs a fee.
- If the driver is not the owner of the vehicle, a notarized power-of-attorney, translated to English or Arabic, which grants the driver the power of attorney to cross the border with a vehicle that is not under their ownership, must be presented.
- Comprehensive insurance coverage for the vehicle in Jordan – can be purchased at the branch of the financial service operator (Milgam) that operates at the terminal. This service incurs a fee.
- Mandatory insurance – Paid for at the Jordanian crossing.

Additional guidelines for crossing with a vehicle (private, organized transport, two-wheeled):
- Crossing with a vehicle (private, organized transport, two-wheeled) – registration of the vehicle at the customs desks is required prior to crossing.
- Crossing with a two-wheeled vehicle (motorcycle) – entry into Jordan with a motorcycle bearing an Israeli license plate necessitates coordination in advance with the Jordanian embassy in Israel (there are no restrictions concerning entering Israel with a motorcycle).
- For those returning from Jordan with a vehicle, please make sure you arrive at the terminal up to three hours prior to the end of operation hours and closing of the terminal gates, in order to avoid a prolonged wait.

Mandatory commissioning of an escorting Jordanian guide.
- By order of the Jordanian authorities, an Israeli who intends to visit Jordan must coordinate the commissioning of an escorting Jordanian guide in advance. Additionally, they must present a printed booking of a hotel stay while crossing at the Jordanian terminal. Without coordinating with such an escorting guide, entry into Jordan is anticipated to be refused by the Jordanian terminal.
- It is recommended for Israeli citizens to perform all necessary coordinations prior to visiting Jordan, in order to prevent undue distress later.
- A passenger turned away by the Jordanians, for any reason, will not be reimbursed for the departure toll.

 Prohibited items
- It is prohibited to bring any weapons and/or ammunition into Jordan. Make sure in advance that no weapons, ammunition etc. were forgotten in your personal effects.
- Additionally, the Jordanians prohibit bringing navigation devices and objects with religious characteristics into Jordan.

 Transportation service (shuttle) to the Jordanian terminal
The terminal provides a transportation service from the Israeli side of the crossing to its Jordanian side via a service line.
Shuttle frequency: every 45 minutes.
Service cost: NIS 5 per passenger. NIS 2.5 per passenger who is a senior citizen (upon presenting a certificate).
Transport of passengers from the Jordanian terminal to Israel is done by a Jordanian transport service.

 Organized transport
Transporting of organized passenger groups by tour bus is contingent on the bus driver being equipped with a passport valid for at least 6 months, and the bus being registered at customs prior to border crossing and after it, while presenting a vehicle license.

 Conduct at the terminal
Please comply with the instructions of ushers and security staff and listen to the announcements made on the terminal’s PA system.
