  1. Resumption of “Duty Free & Collect” Package Pickup at Ben Gurion Airport

    To the general public,

Following the ceasefire and the easing of Home Front Command restrictions, we hereby inform that as of April 12, 2026, starting from midday, the “Duty Free & Collect” package pickup service at Ben Gurion Airport will be gradually resumed.

This service is designated for passengers who returned to Israel during Operation “Roaring Lion” (February 28, 2026 – April 9, 2026) and were unable to collect their packages. The collection process will be carried out in full coordination with the Israel Tax Authority (Customs) and the companies operating the service.

Collection will be permitted by appointment only, for passengers who have received a scheduled date and time from the relevant companies (Richardson-Heinemann and Shekem Electric), in order to ensure order and safety.

    Key instructions to the public:

    • Arrival is permitted strictly at the pre-scheduled date and time. Entry without prior appointment will not be allowed.
    • Collection must be carried out in person only, upon presentation of a passport and proof of purchase.
    • Collection via power of attorney or on behalf of other passengers without their presence or passports will not be permitted.
    • After receiving the package, passengers must proceed through Customs channels as required.

The activity will take place in Sector G and will be accompanied by identification and control measures in accordance with security directives.

The Airports Authority emphasizes that responsibility for appointment coordination, customer notification, and handling public inquiries lies with the commercial companies operating the “Duty Free & Collect” service.

During the initial phase, congestion is expected in the first days; therefore, the public is requested to strictly follow the instructions and arrive only according to their scheduled appointment.

The Airports Authority will continue to ensure the operational continuity of Israel’s entry and exit gateways, while maintaining safety, security, and passenger service.
