As part of its policy, the Israel Airports Authority endorses the strengthening and establishment of its contacts with the environment and the community in Israel and abroad. The management of Ben Gurion Airport is the executing arm for the actual implementation of this policy.

Alongside Ben Gurion Airport's designated role in the field of aviation, a constant effort is made to cooperatively and mutually maintain the interrelations with the environment and the community in general, and those surrounding the airport in particular.

A comprehensive future plan is currently being developed in cooperation with the IAA's Environmental Unit, which will include, among other things, hosting and tours for pupils from schools located in the towns surrounding Ben Gurion Airport.
