The Airports Authority announces updates regarding operations at the Jordan River and Yitzhak Rabin border crossings ahead of Passover 2026
For the attention of the general public,
Passengers are advised that from March 30, 2026 through April 10, 2026 (inclusive), it will not be possible to exit Israel to Jordan by private vehicle via the Jordan River and Yitzhak Rabin border crossings.
For passengers traveling from Israel to Jordan via the Jordan River crossing without a private vehicle, a shuttle service is available from the Israeli side to the Jordanian side at a cost of 8 NIS per person.

New Guidelines for Departing Israel to Jordan or Egypt with a Private Vehicle
For departure from Israel to Jordan or Egypt with a private vehicle, a vehicle registration license translated into English must be presented.
According to the Ministry of Transport and Road Safety, as of 01 March 2026, travelers must arrive at the border crossing with a vehicle registration license that has been translated in advance (prior to arrival).
It is emphasized that as of this date, vehicle license translation services will no longer be provided at the following border crossings:
- Yitzhak Rabin Border Crossing
- Menachem Begin (Taba) Border Crossing
- Jordan River Border Crossing
Vehicle license translation services are available at 64 authorized photo stations nationwide, providing the service on behalf of the Ministry of Transport and Road Safety.

Instructions for visitors to Jordan
Attention passengers,
Israelis planning to visit Jordan, even if visiting a hotel only, must coordinate the visit in advance through an Israeli travel agent (who will coordinate the tour with a Jordanian travel agent), and must carry with them a printed reservation for the hotel.
