Notice to Passengers Departing via the Begin Border Crossing
A passenger who declares that his or her departure from Israel is via the Begin border crossing for the purpose of staying in the Taba area only (up to one kilometer from the border crossing), and who undertakes in writing that if, during the stay in Egypt, he or she leaves the Taba area (beyond the one-kilometer limit), he or she will report this upon returning to Israel and pay the border-crossing fee — shall be eligible for an exemption from paying the fee upon departure.
Signing this declaration and undertaking is a prerequisite for receiving the exemption from the border-crossing fee at departure.
It is hereby clarified that the Israel Airports Authority may, upon the passenger’s return to Israel, verify the accuracy of the declaration and request supporting documents. Providing a false declaration or breaching the undertaking may result in being charged the fee and may entail penalties as provided by law.
The declaration and undertaking form can be obtained at the counters of the financial operator at the border-crossing facility for a fee, or downloaded from the Milgam website free of charge
