Questions and Answers Following the Current Security Situation

  • Due to the current security situation, all flights at Ben Gurion Airport and within the airspace of the State of Israel are suspended until further notice. Aircraft en route to Israel have been diverted to alternate airports.

  • Passengers are requested to contact their airline or travel agent directly for updated information regarding flight status, rebooking, and refunds.

  • In general, the public is requested not to arrive at Ben Gurion Airport until further notice. However, the collection of arriving passengers or passengers whose flights were cancelled is permitted, subject to security authorities’ instructions.

  • At this stage, passenger baggage will remain at Ben Gurion Airport. Baggage is stored in designated, secured, and access-restricted areas within the airport’s operational zone and will be handled by the respective airlines at a later stage.

  • Baggage is stored according to flight numbers and airlines. Once the security situation permits, baggage will be returned to passengers by airline representatives at Ben Gurion Airport.

  • Flight operations will resume only after approval is granted by the relevant national and security authorities. An official announcement will be communicated to the public via the media.

  • Passengers should contact their airlines directly. Flight information displays will be updated in accordance with developments.

  • Subject to the security situation, vehicles may be collected from the parking facilities.

  • Duty Free purchases are being stored in accordance with procedures and will be released once the security situation allows.
