Environmental Management

An Explanation Regarding ISO14001:

In November 2012 the IAA was certified to the Israeli and international standard of ISO14001:2004 – Environmental Management – for the management, operation and maintenance of airports and border terminals.

This standard provides many benefits, including:

The verification that the IAA meets all the environmental laws and regulations and the
improvement of the work interfaces with regulators.
The reduction of the ecological footprint and the overall reduction of pollution incidents
caused as part of the activity of the IAA.
Self-control mechanisms.
Resource conservation.

Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and natural reduction of carbon footprint
Increasing employee awareness and their integration in environmental activities.
Showing public responsibility.
Improved control over the status of the area.
This management system enables environmental achievements, the optimal use of
resources, and a reduction of the organization’s effect on the environment.
