Cargo

The transportation company provides all types of transportation for the transfer of aggregates, containers, platforms and special equipment, packed in the accepted packing methods, such as:
In bulk
In containers
On platforms, also for unique goods (according to their size, packaging etc.), with prior notification.
The passage of cargo is managed by customs brokers.
The transfer of cargo is executed by the following methods:
Door to Door (DTD), Back to Back (BTBB2B), transit.
The transportation method used is determined by the customs' management and the cargo terminal manager, in accordance with the type of goods being transferred. The cargo terminal serves as a transit point for goods and cargo being transported between Israel, Jordan and other countries.

Pre-scheduling of Import and Export

The import and export of cargo must be coordinated ahead of time and executed with a work order. For regular cargo – 24 hours in advance
For unusual cargo – 72 hours in advance

The arrival of the cargo to the terminal

Cargo must arrive on platforms even if it is being transported in containers.
The arrival of cargo which is not on platforms can be done only after coordinating its arrival in advance.

The import and export of goods from Israel to a third country, or from a third country, through the port of Aqaba, excluding Jordan, is possible only by using Israeli trucks.
A request for an exception when transporting cargo – must be made in advance and be coordinated with the company in charge at the terminal.
If an overnight stay becomes necessary due to technical difficulties, or any other reason, the location of the truck's unloading and parking must be reported to the nearest police station.

Storage Weight and Fees

The weight placed on the platforms shall not exceed 50kg per each separate package.
The transportation fees may change from time to time. For more information please contact the N.Jan Company's representative at the terminal.
It is forbidden to bring food, water, weapons and ammunition into Jordan.

Papers Required for an Israeli Truck Entering Jordan

A passport valid for at least three months.
An international driving license.
A translation of the truck license to English – can be done at the Milgam branch at the terminal.
An official power of attorney – for a truck or trailer not registered on the driver's name.
Security certificate – drivers and escorts leaving for Jordan are required to have a security certificate from the Ministry of Transportation. For more information please contact 03-5657238, 03-5657240.
Various tolls and fees are collected at the Jordanian terminal.
Prices and details are available with the Jordanian authorities.
Note: A visa to Jordan can be issued in the Jordanian terminal when entering Jordan – the service requires payment.

Papers Required for a Jordanian Truck Entering Israel

A Visa.
A passport valid for at least six months
A driving license translated to English.
A vehicle license translated to English.
An official power of attorney – for a truck or trailer not registered on the driver's name.
A security certificate for the driver.
A security certificate issued by the Jordanian authorities for the truck and cargo.

Documents Required for Trucks Transporting Goods Back to Back (B.T.2B) - for the Import and Export from Israel to Jordan and Vice Versa, for Aggregates, Animals and Platforms

Export:
1. The customs broker submits the relevant papers to the customs representative 24 hours in
    advance.
2. The authorized goods of all the clients are put into the daily work plan.
3. The Israeli and Jordanian trucks arrive at their appointed time – under the responsibility of the
    customs broker.
Required documents for a Jordanian driver: identifying document - driving license, passport, I.D. card.
Trucks without the proper documents shall not be allowed to pass.

Documents Required for Trucks Transporting Goods Door to Door (D.T.D) - for the Import and Export from Israel to Jordan and Vice Versa

Following the Israel – Jordan Transportation Agreement, the export of goods from Israel to Jordan shall be done using Israeli trucks while the import of goods from Jordan to Israel shall be done using Jordanian trucks.
Export:
1. The customs broker submits the relevant papers to the customs representative 24 hours in  
    advance.
2. The authorized goods of all the clients are put into the daily work plan.
3. The Israeli and Jordanian trucks arrive at their appointed time – under the responsibility of the
    customs broker.
4. The trucks enter the terminal after undergoing a customs inspection and receive authorization 
    to exit to Jordan.
5. The Israeli trucks must return on the same day or on the following morning.
Import:
1. The customs broker submits the relevant papers to the customs representative 24 hours in
    advance.
2. The authorized goods of all the clients are put into the daily work plan.
3. The Israeli and Jordanian trucks arrive at their appointed time – under the responsibility of the
    customs broker.
4. A customs inspection of the goods.
5. The discharge of the goods and their loading on Israeli trucks.

"Transit" – the passage of goods on their way to other destinations (a third country)

1. The customs broker submits the relevant papers to the customs representative 24 hours in 
    advance.
2. The authorized goods of all the clients are put into the daily work plan.
3. The Israeli and Jordanian trucks arrive at their appointed time – under the responsibility of the 
    customs broker.
4. Containers are transferred from the Jordanian trucks to the Israeli trucks.
5. Receiving customs authorization.
6. The departure of a single driver supplied with a customs security certificate.
