Transportation of Cargo

Operating Hours of the Cargo Terminal

Sun-Thu: 06:30 – 20:00
Friday & Saturday – closed

The transit company provides service for all types of transits: aggregates, containers, platforms and special equipment.

Transition of cargo is performed by customs agents.
Transition of cargo is performed according to three methods:
Door to Door (DTD), Back to Back (BTB) and TRANZIT.
The method is determined by customs management and the manager of the cargo terminal in accordance with the type of goods.

Trucks carrying hazardous materials are required to coordinate with the Cargo Officer of the Israel Airports Authority. 

BTB Export: 

1. Submitting documents by a customs agent 24 hours in advance to the customs representative.
2. Including the approved goods in the daily plan.
3. At 16:00 – introducing the work plan for the following day.
4. Passing the lists of the Jordanian trucks' numbers (arriving from Jordan) by the customs agent for loading of goods.
5.  Timetable of Jordanian and Israeli trucks – responsibility of the customs agent.

DTD Export:

1. Submitting documents by a customs agent 24 hours in advance to the customs representative.
2. Including the approved goods in the daily plan.
3. At 16:00 – introducing the work plan for the following day.
4. Entrance of trucks to the terminal following customs checks and getting exit permits to Jordan.
5. Returning of the truck on same day or the following day, as necessary.

Import:

1. Submitting documents by a customs agent 24 hours in advance to the customs representative.
2. Including the approved goods in the daily plan.
3. At 16:00 – introducing the work plan for the following day.
4. Passing the lists of the Jordanian trucks' numbers (arriving from Jordan) for unloading of
    goods and timetable of arrival of Israeli and Jordanian trucks - responsibility of the customs
    agent.
5. Checking of goods by customs.
6. Release of goods and loading to Israeli trucks.

TRANZIT:

1. Submitting documents by a customs agent 24 hours in advance to the customs representative.
2. Including the approved goods in the daily plan.
3. At 16:00 – introducing the work plan for the following day.
4. Passing the lists of the Jordanian trucks' numbers (arriving from Jordan) for loading or
    unloading of goods and timetable of arrival of Israeli and Jordanian trucks - responsibility of
     the customs agent. 
5. Passing of containers from Jordanian to Israeli trucks.
6. Customs ratification.
7. Exiting in an escorted convoy of up to 10 trucks to the port, or single exit of a driver with
    customs security permit.
