The holiday season commences at Ben-Gurion Airport: Recommendations for Passover travelers
( Spokesperson Announcements  17/03/2010)

Busy days are expected this Passover at Ben-Gurion Airport, as thousands of passengers and the people accompanying them throng the airport building. The following are several recommendations that will help make your experience of passing through Ben-Gurion Airport a pleasant one.

When should you arrive?

o        Three hours prior to ETD

o        Airport security procedures and flight check-in begin operating three hours prior to ETD.

o        Please leave sufficient time to complete these procedures without undue stress.

It is recommended to use the early check-in service provided on the internet by certain airlines.

How to reach the airport?

o        You can reach the airport in several ways:  public transportation, bus, train, shuttle taxi, regular taxi and private vehicle.

o        Licensed taxis are available outside the arrivals hall.

o        You should use only licensed taxis (whose prices and services are supervised by the airport authorities).

Where to  park

o        Terminals 1 and 3 offer a range of parking lots with thousands of parking spots for various time periods (long-term and short-term).

o        A shuttle service operates frequently in both directions between the terminals and the parking lots.

Biometric passport control

o        It is recommended that you register for the biometric passport control system.

o        Registration saves you the burden of standing in line at passport control when you leave and enter the country.

o        The passport control process for those registered in the system takes no more than 30 seconds.

o        Prior to using the system for the first time, you need to register at the
passport control hall before leaving the country.

o        Registration is free and the registration card is valid for 5 years.

The Mother and Child Room:

o        For your convenience, a new mother and child room has been opened in the  duty-free area. The room contains a private area for breastfeeding, cradles, a kitchenette, etc.
