The Taba Terminal serves as a border crossing between Israel and Egypt for Israeli citizens and foreign tourists, with the exception of Palestinians.
The Terminal is situated at the foot of a steep mountain. On one side is the Egyptian border and on the other side is a coastal strip, which is proclaimed as a nature reserve.
The geographical location of the Terminal limits the terminal to a narrow strip of land only 45 meters wide and 200 meters long.
Close to 1 million passengers per year and about 7,000 vehicles pass through this location.
The Terminal operates all year round, 24 hours a day, with the exception of Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) and the Muslim Feast of Sacrifice
