The Terminal is situated about 10 kilometers south of Eilat and constitutes the southernmost border crossing point in the Sate of Israel.

From the terminal, Israel’s three neighboring countries can be seen: Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt.

The Terminal constitutes an important crossing point for pilgrims on their way to visit the holy sites: Jerusalem, Nazareth, Bethlehem, and St. Catherine's (Santa Katarina) Monastery in Sinai.
