The border crossing at Nitzana is the main overland border crossing between Israel and Egypt, and cargo and goods for import and export pass through it.
The terminal is located at Pitchat Nitzana, next to Nitzana Youth Village and Moshav Nitzanei Sinai (Kadesh Barnea), within the territory of Ramat Negev Regional Council.
The terminal’s location at the junction between two countries, and the commercial activity taking place there, are important factors in strengthening ties between Israel and Egypt and consolidating the peace.
Approaches to the Terminal:
From the east: Via road from Beersheba, towards Telalim Junction, Ketziot and the moshavim of the Ramat Negev Regional Council - 77 km.
From the north west: From the Kerem-Shalom junction, via the military road - Philadelphi axis - starting from the coast near Rafiach, about 50 km.
The road is narrow and not suitable for heavy vehicles.
Travel along the road must be arranged in advance with the military authorities.
From the south east: From the direction of Eilat and Mount Harif, via the Philadelphi axis. The road is narrow and travel on it must be arranged in advance.
From Egypt to the terminal: The Ismailia-Abu Ageila-Nitzana road, about 228 km.
