Customs 

Handling all goods on which customs duties and taxes are due, and releasing them when handling is complete and payments have been made.

Certain goods are checked and then released to their destinations.

Ministry of Health

Supervision of food and checking goods defined as food, including sending food samples to the Ministry of Health station, if necessary.

At the end of the process, with the approval of the inspector, the goods are released.

Inspector’s days of activity:  Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday.

Ministry of Agriculture

Examination of goods arriving in Israel from Egypt and destined for Israel or the Palestinian Authority.  The inspection is carried out by an inspector from the Ministry of Health.  Goods inspected include:

          Seeds

          Grains

          Plants

Days of activity:  every day.

Israel Police

Border control for Israeli drivers before they leave for the Egyptian terminal.

After border control, drivers leaves the terminal gates and after unloading the cargo on the Egyptian side, they return to the Israeli terminal.

Customs Agents

Handle release of goods, work in conjunction with the customs people in the terminal.

Transportation concession holder

Moving goods, which includes:  unloading, loading and transporting.

IDF Foreign Forces Liaison Unit

The unit that liaises with foreign forces stationed in Sinai.

Coordinates the exit of these forces to Egypt and their entry into Israel.
