Border-crossing fees:
All travelers to Jordan must pay a border-crossing fee before leaving Israel.
Fees – Valid from January 1, 2012:
- Crossing fee per outgoing traveler – NIS 98
- Cargo fee – NIS 199
The fees are quoted in NIS and are updated once a year (on January 1) linked to the Consumer Price Index.
The Israel Airports Authority and Change Place Ltd. operate a service allowing travelers to pay the border-crossing fee at the border terminals using the Change Place website.
Paying through the website saves time by streamlining the crossing process.

Passengers exempt from the passage fee:
1. A passenger bearing a diplomatic passport or a passport with a diplomatic visa, or a certificate confirming his being one of the following:
a. A UN employee serving in the UNTSO
b. A member of the Multinational Force
c. A member of the International Red Cross
2. A UNRWA official, appearing on a list approved for this purpose by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
3. An infant under the age of 2 years.
4. The crew of a public transport bus - bus driver and attendant.
5. A driver of a commercial vehicle leaving Israel in a commercial vehicle, which he is driving as part of his job in transporting goods to or from Israel.
6. Any person taking part in a rescue search, in providing medical assistance to injured persons, or in any other humanitarian activity.
7. A member of a government delegation, passing in order to fulfill his role in the negotiations between Israel and Jordan, and appearing on a list approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Additional Fees
Bus ticket from the Jordanian terminal to the Israeli terminal: 6 NIS.
Bus ticket from the Israeli terminal to the Jordanian terminal: 4.5 NIS.
Visa on the Jordanian side - 10 dinar for Israeli tourists and foreign tourists.
Passage tax for a passenger crossing from Jordan to Israel on the Jordanian side - 4 dinar for Israeli tourists and Jordanian tourists.
For those departing by vehicle
Changing license plates on the Jordanian side + insurance for 1 week - 45 dinar on the Jordanian side.
Changing license plates on the Jordanian side + insurance for 1 month - 66 dinar on the Jordanian side.
