The Karni terminal serves as a cargo-handling passageway between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.  The IAA invests considerable effort in providing the best service under the present numerous security restrictions on the country's borderline with Gaza. 

The IAA has recently purchased a powerful x-ray machine for containers (unique in its kind in the country), in order to improve the standard of service for handling containers.

For the added convenience of those passing through the terminal, we intend to purchase an x-ray machine for trucks in the near future; we also plan to install unique conveyor belts for transferring aggregates.
