Check-in Procedure-Main Terminal

Outbound passengers on domestic flights and on international flights arrive at the main Terminal and go through the outbound passenger procedure, which includes:

Security check

Flight check-in

Passport control (for those departing on international flights).

Transfer to the aircraft, by bus.

 

Passengers departing on international flights should arrive for the flight at the time stipulated by the airline.

Should you have items to declare to customs, please ensure you inform the airline of this in advance.

 

Disabled passengers may choose to get to the aircraft by bus or by a special vehicle. The ordering of the special vehicle is done at the Main Terminal during flight check-in. The service is provided by the airline, free of charge.

 

Aircraft boarding will be carried out manually on a narrow wheelchair.

 

          Seating areas.

          Cafeteria.

          Washrooms.

 

Please note:

Flight check-in counters close 20 minutes prior to departure.

Before boarding, make sure you have your boarding pass and an identifying document.

When boarding the bus, make sure that you board the correct bus, in accordance with the instructions of the stewards, and the signs on the bus.

 

Israeli citizens should carry a passport valid for half a year at least.

 

Former Israeli citizens take note: If you do not have a written authorization from the Israeli authorities abroad, attesting to your having waived your citizenship, you are required by law to enter and exit the country using your Israeli passports, and you are obliged to present exit permits from the IDF, if applicable.

 

Foreign citizens should carry a passport and the L17 form, handed to them upon their entry into the country.

 

Passengers arriving on domestic flights will arrive, by bus, at the main Terminal building and will go through the inbound passenger procedure, which includes:

 

Collection of baggage at the shed adjacent to the side of the Terminal.

Exit to the bus stops, the taxis and the parking lot.

 

Passengers arriving without baggage can continue directly  through the turnstile to the taxi rank.

 

For your information:

The shed is not air conditioned and is cooled only fans which operate during the hot season.

Smoking in and around the Shed is strictly prohibited.

 

Baggage trolleys are located next to the shed. Use of the trolley requires a NIS 5 coin, which is refunded when the trolley is returned.

 

For your convenience, there is a taxi rank near the Arrivals shed. Bus stops are located on Levy Eshkol Street, about 50 m. from the main gate.

 

Inbound Passengers on International Flights - Terminal 2

Passengers arriving on international flights walk from the aircraft to Terminal 2, which is within walking distance.

Assistance in carrying baggage from the aircraft must be coordinated in advance with the airline.

It is advisable not to bring in any items to which customs duty is applicable, as there is no bank or goods storage facilities at the Airport.

Passengers who land before the planned arrival time will be required to wait at Terminal 2 until the designated time or until an announcement by the Duty Manager.

 

Greeters may wait in the Passenger Hall, but may go no farther than the exit gates.

Updated landing times are displayed on the monitor located on the verandah next to the arrivals shed.

 

Please note:

You may park your car in the parking lot located outside the Airport.

The first 15 minutes of parking are free of charge.

Entrance of vehicles into the area of the airport is prohibited. In addition, parking and stopping at the entrance to the Airport - the traffic circle area - is prohibited and obstructs the traffic flow into and out of the Airport.

A vehicle parked in a forbidden place will be dealt with in accordance with the law.

 

Outbound passengers and accompaniers.

Outbound passengers should arrive 45 minutes before departure.

During the security check, an I.D. Card, passport or driving license must be presented.

The security check is carried out without accompanying visitors, for both adults and children. The security check procedure takes a short time. Please be patient.

 

Please note that the check-in counters close 20 minutes before departure.

 

On your way to the aircraft, follow the ground stewards' instructions and the signs on the bus, and make sure that you board the correct bus. This can also be checked with the bus driver.

Baby carriages can be brought onto the bus with no problem, and be handed to the staff at the door to the aircraft. Baby carriages can also be sent to the aircraft’s cargo hold, during the check-in process.

 

It is advisable to find out, before the flight, whether there are toilets on the aircraft.

In any case, it is recommended to use the toilets in the Departures Hall, before takeoff
