In order to ensure the security of the flight, all Ovda Airport outbound passengers undergo a security check, which includes a check of baggage that is sent to the aircraft hold, a check of hand luggage and a body search.

It is prohibited to carry, on your person or in your hand luggage, sharp objects such as penknives, scissors, files, knives, etc. Weapon-like toys are likewise prohibited. These items will not be authorized for flight. Items of this type should be packed in the baggage to be checked into the hold of the aircraft.

Entry into the terminal with a firearm is expressly prohibited.

It is prohibited to carry firearms or teargas onto the aircraft in hand luggage or in baggage checked into the hold of the aircraft.

Likewise it is prohibited to carry gas bottles onto the aircraft or check them into the hold of the aircraft.

Firearm owners are requested to make sure that no weapons, magazines, ammunition, flares etc remain in their luggage. A passenger in whose baggage weapons are found will be held back and he is liable to miss his flight.

Do not leave personal effects or baggage unattended.

Keep an eye out for suspicious objects, cars or people and report them to the security personnel.

In order to complete the security check quickly and efficiently, accompanying persons are requested not to interfere in the security check. The security check is intended for passengers only. After the completion of the security check, the accompanying visitors may approach the check in counters with the passengers. There may be cases where, for security reasons, passengers will have to part company with their accompanying friends/relatives.

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be asked to present an identifying document to the security person.
