Herzliya Airfield is one of the few airfields in Israel used as a training ground for pilots. The airfield operates according to international standards and provides flight control, firefighting and rescue services.

At Herzliya Airport you can take part in a variety of activities, including:  courses on flying and flight simulators, theoretical studies, private flights on weekends, hire of airplanes and helicopters for pleasure flights and air taxi services.  The airfield is also used for some agricultural activity, and provides maintenance services for most light aircraft in Israel.

The special location of the airfield, in the heart of the urban area covering Herzliya, Kfar Shmaryahu and Ra’anana, makes it easily accessible on one hand, but on the other hand requires meticulous compliance with safety procedures and preservation of the environment.

Plans for expanding and improving the airfield’s services for everyone who uses it are currently at an advanced stage.  The expansion plans include adding more parking space for aircraft and cars, and building a snack bar and a visitors’ hall.
