Recommendations for outbound passengers
 

Passengers departing on international flights should arrive at the Airport 3 hours prior to departure, and those flying on domestic flights, 1 hour prior to departure. Please note that the security check is meticulous and professional,  to ensure a safe flight for you and for all the other passengers. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused.

 

When confirming your flight, ask whether there is a pre-flight check-in for your flight, which can save you time at the Airport. Pre-flight services are available for El Al passengers, with prior coordination. For additional information call El Al at (08) 637-1515.

 

Passengers with pacemakers may not pass through the magnetometer gate and must inform the security people in advance in order to be referred to another point of entry.

 

At the border control counter, you are requested to present your passport, boarding pass and the form of entry into Israel, for passengers who are not Israeli residents.

 

Israeli citizens holding foreign passports are required to exit the country using their Israeli passports, unless they have a document attesting to their having waived their Israeli citizenship, as well as exit permits from the IDF, if relevant.

 
Pre Flight Services  
 

There are cafeterias and souvenir shops at Eilat and Ovda Airports. At Ovda there is, in addition: A duty free shop offering a wide range of products: Perfumes, cigarettes, liquor, electronic goods, shoes and sporting goods, as well as the H. Stern Jewelry shop.
