Arriving Disabled Passenger

The responsibility for the care of a disabled passenger and his baggage, commencing with the entrance of the passenger to the building or after disembarking from the arriving aircraft, falls on the airline with which the passenger is flying, or the ground services company handling the flight.

 

The Airports Authority will be responsible for providing proper infrastructure for the operation of the service by the airlines.

 

1.             Landing

Disembarking from an aircraft attached to a Jetway

Passengers arriving on an aircraft that parks next to the Terminal and connects to it by a Jetway, will arrive at the Terminal, accompanied by a representative of the airline, as follows:

         Disembarking from the aircraft, assisted by the stewards of the airline, after all the other passengers have disembarked.

        Transfer to a regular wheelchair, at the entrance to the Jetway.

         Continue to the Passport Control Hall on Level 2, via the Rotunda and the Connector, on a buggy on in the wheelchair.

          Receiving one's wheelchair, before Border Control

        Passport control and continuation to the Arrivals Hall

 

Disembarking from an aircraft parked at a remote parking slot

Passengers arriving on an aircraft parked at a remote parking slot, will arrive at the Terminal, accompanied by a representative of the airline, as follows:

 

         Disembarking from the aircraft, assisted by the stewards of the airline, after all the other passengers have disembarked.

         Boarding the El Alit vehicle and arrival at the Terminal

          Entering the Border Control Hall through the east entrance, located between the Connector and the Hall

         Passport control and continuation to the Arrivals Hall

 

You will receive your wheelchair in the El Alit vehicle.

 

 

2.            Arrivals Hall - Baggage Collection and Customs
The Arrivals Hall houses the baggage conveyors and customs inspection counters.
The airline representative will accompany you and assist you, where required, until you no longer require his/her assistance, including:

 

         Offloading baggage

         Loading baggage on the trolley

         Transfer to your personal wheelchair

        Going through Customs and the Welcomers' Hall.
