The responsibility for the care of a disabled passenger and his baggage, commencing with the entrance of the passenger to the building or after disembarking from the Arriving aircraft, falls on the airline with which the passenger is flying, or the ground services company handling the flight.
The Airports Authority is responsible for providing proper infrastructure for the operation of the service by the airlines.
The arrival of a disabled passenger at Terminal 3
Travelers arriving by car
Disabled passengers arriving by car should park their cars in the reserved parking spaces in the short term parking lot.
You may reach the Check-In Hall independently or with the assistance of an escort.
The passage from the sidewalk to the zebra crossing is adapted to wheel chairs.
Travelers arriving by public transport
Travelers arriving by public transport will alight on level 2, on the access road for departing passengers. From there you can continue to the Check-In Hall independently or assisted by an escort.
Travelers arriving by train
Travelers arriving by train will disembark on the lower level of the bridge - Level S.
From Level S, take the elevators, escalators or staircase to the Check-In Hall on level 3 of the Terminal, or to Level G if your check-in counter is located there.
Check In Hall - Flight check-in
Departing disabled passengers arriving at the security check area will be directed to the front of the queue.
A representative of the airline will accompany you and assist you along the departing passenger path, including:
Security check
Flight check-in
Passport control
If you wish to use you own wheelchair, you should inform the airline representative during check-in.
Upon arriving at the boarding gate, the airline representative will exchange the wheelchair for a narrower one which serves for boarding the aircraft.
For your convenience, there are baggage trolleys at the main entrances to the Check -n Hall, on both sides of the entrance.
Through the Connector to the Rotunda
A representative of the airline will accompany you through the Connector to the Concourse, via the Rotunda.
You may wish to take advantage of the electric buggy service at the Terminal.
Duty-free shops - In the Rotunda
In and around the Buy & Bye mall you may continue independently.
The Rotunda is designed to suit disabled passengers:
Wide entrances to shops
Telephone and Internet stands suited for use from a wheelchair.
Arrange the next meeting point with the representative of the airline in advance, in order to continue to the boarding gate.
Transfer to the Concourse and the boarding gate
The representative of the airline will accompany you from the Rotunda, via the Concourse and the Jetway, up to the door of the aircraft.
If need be, you can get to the boarding gate by buggy.
Boarding the aircraft
Boarding of the aircraft will be done via the Jetway, with the exception of rare cases when the aircraft is parked in a remote parking slot.
Boarding an aircraft connected to a Jetway
If the aircraft is connected to a Jetway, you will be taken to the front of the queue and from there to your seat.
At the entrance to the aircraft, the wheelchair that you arrived in will be exchanged for a narrower one, in order to enable passage through the aircraft door.
Boarding an aircraft parked at a remote parking slot
If the aircraft is parked at a remote parking slot, a representative of the airline will escort you as follows:
Descent by elevator to the aircraft exit gate - ground floor - G
A trip in the El Alit vehicle to the aircraft, accompanied by a paramedic, if required.
The El Alit vehicle is hitched to the aircraft.
Exchange of the wheelchair for a narrower one.
Entering the aircraft being seated (before the rest of the passengers).
