The Tourism Bureau Counter is situated in the Arrivals Hall at BGN. Tourists arriving in the country can obtain tourist information, including: Information regarding tourist attractions, hotels, public transport etc. Hotel bookings can be made at the counters, 24 hours a day, throughout the week, except for Saturdays and holidays.

The Customs stations are located in the Arrivals Hall.

Inbound passengers will pass through the Customs stations, with their baggage, as follows:

 

The Green Route – Passengers with nothing to declare.

 

The Red Route – Passengers bringing with them any sort of electrical appliances valued at $200 or more, and on which customs duty must be paid.

 

The Blue Route – Groups and air crew who do not have anything to declare.

 

The obligation of declaring money brought into or taken out of Israel, is applicable under the following conditions.

 

         An amount totaling NIS 80,000 or more in the possession of the passenger.

          An amount of NIS 1,000,000 or more, in the possession of a new immigrant, on his first entry into the country.

The Ministry of the Interior is located in the Arrivals Hall.

 

In addition, there is a counter serving the general public in the Greeters Hall, next to Entrance 23.  

Services provided at the Service Counter

 

          Extending the validity of an Israeli Passport – against payment.

          Issuing a returning entry visa for foreign workers leaving on holiday.

          Payment of fees.

          Handing in forms/applications as well as obtaining documents and responses to requests by contractors and company representatives.

 
The Ministry of Immigrant Absorption is located in the Arrivals Hall. The BGN branch handles the initial administrative steps in the absorption process of new immigrants and assists in the transporting of the immigrants to Absorption Centers, after conclusion of the absorption procedures at the Airport.
 

 

The Ministry of Agriculture is located in the Departures Hall at BGN. The BGN branch acts to uncover plants and animals, the entry of which into the country is prohibited.
 

Importing animals as part of one's personal luggage, up to two of each kind, traveling together with their owners is exempt from a written veterinary license from the Veterinary Services Manager of the Ministry of Agriculture, under the following conditions:: They are accompanied by a health certificate issued during the 7 days prior to the date of import, by a Government Veterinarian in the country of origin, attesting to the fact that the animals were examined and found to be healthy and free of infectious diseases, and accompanied by a declaration by the owners that the animals were in their possession for at least 90 days prior to their import into Israel.

 

Dogs or cats also require an authorization that they were inoculated against rabies at least 30 days previously, but no longer that one year prior to their departure for Israel.

 

The entry of dogs and cats under the age of inoculation (3 months) will not be permitted. The import of animals as part of one's personal luggage requires submitting the following details to the Veterinary Services Manager at Beit Dagan, at least 48 hours prior to arrival: Name of the owner, type of animal, age, flight number and estimated time of arrival. In general, animals arriving in good health and with the required papers will not be quarantined.

The tourism Organizers Bureau is located in the Arrival Hall. The Bureau carries out greeting and accompaniment of VIPs as well as groups, through the Smile Greeting Services company.

 

The IDF office is located at Terminal 3, in the Border Control Hall – Level 2.

The office handles people eligible for mandatory military service – outbound or inbound – for whom there is an indication in the Border Control Police computer that  an inquiry must be made with the IDF authorities.

 

The Police Station is situated in Terminal 1.

 

A forward post is located in Terminal 3 in the Greeters Hall, in the Gallery.

The Police Station provides police services to citizens, submission of complaints, patrolling, maintaining of public order.

 

In addition, the BGN Region Police Station provides Border Control services for outbound and inbound passengers.

 

The branch of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is located in the Terminal Building in the Arrivals Hall, and in Terminal 3 in the Border Control Hall – second floor.

 

The Branch handles various problems which visitors to the country of various rankings run into, and acts to sort out the matter of permits in conjunction with the relevant entities in the Ministry of the Interior and the Border Control Police, in real time.

 

The Branch is also responsible for welcoming and seeing off  high  visiting dignitaries, whether through ceremonies or more modest receptions.

 

The Meteorological Service is situated in the Arrivals Hall.

 

The service is at present provided by Meteotech.

 

The characteristics of the service:

 

  Weather forecasting for airlines, as part of the flight plan.

 

  Weather briefings to airlines – by special request.
