How will I know which counter to go to

It is recommended to find out the most up-to-date details of your flight, on the voice activated system on tel: (03) 972-3331 or through the website: www.ben-gurion-airport.co.il. The details include: Departure time, security check area, and check-in counters. Information on flight numbers and the location of counters is displayed on the giant screens at the entrance to the terminal. The flight number is displayed above each check-in counter.

What is permitted and what is prohibited to take aboard the flight

Before arriving at the airport, please ensure that do have on your person or in your hand luggage, or in your suitcase, sharp objects such as penknives, scissors, files, knives, etc. Weapon-like toys may also not be taken aboard in your hand luggage. These items will not be authorized for flight during the security check procedure.

If necessary, items of this type should be packed in the baggage to be checked into the hold of the aircraft.

Photographic films of type ASA 1600 are liable to be damaged by the X-ray machine.

Please inform the security personnel of the fact prior to going through the X-ray check

In some cases, for security purposes, a special security check will have to be carried out on an item and, as a result, the item will be flown separately.

When should I get to the Airport

Three hours before departure. Make sure to bring with your passport, which should be valid for at least three months, and your airline ticket. It is advisable to attach nametags to your baggage and to remove old stickers from the suitcases in order to prevent mistaken identification.

To optimize the procedure, there are separate queues for Israeli passport holders and foreign passport holders. We thank you for your patience and for your cooperation.
