Operations and Ground Missions Division

The Operations and Ground Missions Division incorporates 4 main wings  where the majority of activities and core services of the airport are carried out, in day-to-day routine and in times of emergency:

 

Responsible for the loading and offloading of aircraft including the conveyance of passenger’s baggage, freight and airmail.

 

Responsible for the management and distribution of the operational equipment to aircraft including ramp vehicles, container loaders, tractors and wagons. In addition, the employees of the Wing operate the container loaders and the ramp vehicles.

 

Responsible for the planning and execution of the flight schedule, management of the aircraft parking apron, guiding and control, management and distribution of information and data regarding takeoffs and landings, operation and management of aviation and other emergency situations, including the operation of the public information center, provision of meteorological services to aviation, provision of medical services at the airport and in emergencies, operation of the rescue and firefighting systems including the handling of hazardous materials and handling of bird interference.

 

Responsible for the provision of aircraft interior cleaning services, cleaning of all the open areas at BGA, including the aircraft parking apron, and management of the parking lots at BGA In addition, the Division is responsible for the operation of the freight terminals, jet fuel supply infrastructure, and the activities of the aircraft refueling companies at BGA, by means of the fuel and freight infrastructure concession holders' center.
